Tommy D Stays In The Can
Thomas DiFiore, reputed member of the administration of the Bonanno Crime Family, lost out on his bid to get out of jail on bail in the latest federal indictment stemming from the Lufthansa heist, court records show. DiFiore's attorney put together a $ 4 million bail package but Brooklyn federal judge Allyne Ross didn't go along. Ross was apparently swayed by prosecution arguments that DiFiore was a high ranked leader of organized crime and thus inherently dangerous to the community. DiFiore is charged with an extortion count and not in the Lufthansa allegations facing reputed Bonanno mobster Vincent Asaro.
